Here is the reason for this sale.

We have always wanted our own home! And NOW it's a REALITY!

My family and I were finally able to move into our new home. We went through a very long process of buying our home, more than 3 month's. It has been quite exhausting for all of us.

Here are a few shots of the house.

We got a very good deal on the house but we have really had to work hard to pull it all together. Creative Financing was a must for us.

(Yes I look for Great Deals just like everyone else does.)

And to make this deal I had to do a little work on the pool before I could get the "Ok" on the FHA part of the loan.

One of the biggest tasks for me were the repairs I have had to do to the in-ground pool.

The pool had not been used for about 6+ years and as you can see above it looked beyond repair. But I knew better. I am not afraid of hard work and have worked in many areas of the construction and maintenance business for the past 30 + years.

So I setup a deal with my loan officer to get the pool back in working condition, and to replace some missing fencing around the pool area. It turned out to be a bigger task than I thought it would be.

But I did prevail over it. Not as completely as I had hoped due to the weather not working in my favor. First thing I did was power wash the whole thing. This is done by hosing down the walls of the pool with a machine that forces water through a hose with a very small hole on the end of the nozzle.

The result is to actually blast away all the dirt mold and loose cement. The next step was to patch all the leaks and holes in the pool. Over the years the seam of the riser wall had separated from the poured base of the pool and ground water had started to seep through these leaks.

After the leaks were stopped the next step would have been to paint it. But I needed to have the pool completely dry to do this. That is where I ran into trouble. It would rain for 2 days and then the sun would come out for a day then back to rain again.

I was running out of time and decided to just fill the pool and get the filter system up and running. So I had 20,000 gallons of water hauled in and started working on getting the pump up and running.

That is when I discovered there were 2 under ground pipes that had busted. So I started breaking up the cement and digging down to find the breaks. Not to bad a job as I found them both in the same place and had that repair done in a day and a half.

So here are a few After shots of the pool.

Yes it was a lot of work and I did it all by myself. The tiles around the edge of the pool still need repaired but I just needed to have the pool filled with water and the pump working properly. Along with the fence repairs and hole digging and pipe repairs I think I have about 60 hours of labor in to it.
